What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is very competitive among equally qualified firms, and my experience stems from a family construction business dating to 1951. If you select on price alone, you risk omissions, errors, and oversights to the work, only to cost you more during the project as extra items are added that should have been included to begin with. A qualification based selection (QBS) will result in faster project schedules, comprehensive designs, and greater satisfaction. My experience and knowledge will be an asset to your project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

An initial site visit and consultation. This will determine the exact scope of work and incorporate your vision for the project. I will used my laser scanner to create a digital model of your property and the basis for the design. Project updates will be shared as the plans quickly and efficiently develop.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

A licensed professional engineer supported by my talented staff and over 350 projects completed.

Clayborn Engineering traces its roots to 1951 in Louisville KY. Today we continue serving clients on residential and commercial projects.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Small projects are under served in the Engineering and Architecture industry. I love working on small projects and sharing the wisdom I have gained on large construction projects. Make sure you find someone who will give you the attention you deserve. How large is your project?

Contact me early in your project development. Do you need code consulting, DHS Chapter 34, ADA questions, city permit violation issues, environmental permits, structural engineering, life safety plans, power plan, lighting plan, or a plumbing plan? Someone who can make your vision a reality. I can help you. Do you need additional capacity for your congregation, do you know what parking area is required? Understanding the driving factors for your project can aid in the delivery of a satisfactory product.
